Feel free to throw anything at me here, SFW or NSFW! I'm pretty much open to anything and everything, and feel free to hit me up if you wanna hash out ideas.
[While among the Scions it was known Alphinaud had a particular affinity for art, one of the two Warriors of Light also held a keen interest in the subject. With writing still very much out of her grasp, Moni has long since started to sketch things to convey anything in letters or documents - and soon enjoyed sketching down anything that caught her eye.
Landmarks, scenery, buildings... Throughout their adventures, Moni would sketch all this down, finding a quiet perch where she would remain until the sun had set. It was really one of the few times the chaotic Xaela wasn't on the go or getting into some sort of trouble.
Though there is one certain individual who has been the subject of her sketches lately, which is already peculiar enough since Moni never drew people - that was more Alphinaud's thing. But one certain person had caught her eye, and Moni was determined to capture her one paper - though she could never get it right...
Plus she had to be sneaky about it - if Rose ever found out, Moni was pretty sure she would die of embarrassment. Good thing sneaky came easily to a ninja, and she usually hid her sketchbook by the time Rose even noticed her. Usually.
Today she had neglected her usual tactics, her frustration with lessons leading her to absently sketch as she sat within the Rising Stones - eyes narrowed in concentrated as she drew down what she could remember. Which was, embarrassingly enough, a lot.
She totally didn't pay a lot of attention to how Rose looked, of course not.]
[If Rose had any knowledge of Moni’s predilection for the arts, she never made any note. Sure, she would see the other girl with a sketchbook from time to time, but art is something that is sometimes best kept to one’s self. Rose understands that just as well as anyone.]
[Rose isn’t intending to catch her friend doing anything out of the ordinary, she’s just bored and wants to talk. When Rose spots Moni in the Rising Stones, she eagerly takes the seat next to her, looking over the other girl’s shoulder.]
Moni immediately grabs the sketchbook and pulls it to her chest, a flush blooming along her cheeks. Okay, just... be calm. It's fine, she just has to play it cool. Rose will never know!!]
It's uh - [Ah, her voice squeaked a bit. This is not fine.
Let her just clear her throat and try that again.]
It's just a... a thing I've been working. N-nothing interesting!
[Really, Moni should've known how this would go - she's making it painfully obvious something was wrong. Her tail flicks restlessly as Rose leans in, the blush along her cheeks deepening as she scrambles for an excuse.]
I-it might hurt! [Hurt Moni's pride, her ego etc.]
It's... It's just something I've been working on. It'll just seem really odd to you.
[The sketchbook is still cradled to her chest as if it's something incredibly sacred and precious. Which it currently is, right now.]
[This is usually the kind of personal space that Rose would respect, but something about Moni's reaction is strange, and it bothers her. How depraved could it be, that she's unwilling to show it to one of her best friends?]
I'm sure it's no more odd than half of what we've seen on our journey.
[She knew Rose wouldn't give up on this, especially with how Moni is acting. Glancing between her friend and the sketchbook, before finally relinquishing her hold on it.
Placing the book flat against the table surface, sliding it over in front of the other woman - pointedly not looking at her, as her cheeks threaten to burn completely with how much she's blushing.
Revealing that it isn't anything depraved or weird, but rather a detailed sketch of the Miqo'te sitting next to her.]
I was just... I just started sketching, s-so it might not be entirely accurate or anything...
[Rose is too enthralled by the sketchbook to see how much Moni is blushing. Which is probably for the best, all things considered.]
[The work is good. She can tell how much talent Moni has, as well as how much effort has gone into this. Refusing to take her eyes off the sketchbook, she puts on an earnest smile.]
[Rose's words only serve to deepen her blush even more, Moni hunching her shoulders in an almost bashful way as she glances over. Feeling a bit less flustered now when she notices how Rose is smiling, shakily managing a soft smile of her own.]
Oh... Oh! I'm glad you think so. [Her tail twitches nervously now, as Moni slowly uncurls herself from where she had been flustering.]

[Rose leans in, trying to get a better look at the sketchbook. Now she has to know.]
Oh? You seem very on-edge for it to be nothing. Come now, a little peek couldn’t hurt, could it?
